I have concerns about my child’s development. What should I do?

If you have concerns about your child’s development, share your specific concerns with their
pediatrician or primary care provider. If you feel your child would benefit from occupational or speech
therapy, request that the doctor send a referral to our clinic.

What do I need to do to get started?

Visit your pediatrician or primary care provider and request a referral be sent to our clinic. Once we
receive your referral we will contact you to set up an appointment for an evaluation. In the meantime,
you can find our forms here (with link) to bring out completed to your first appointment.

How long are therapy sessions?

Therapy sessions vary from 45 minutes to an hour. We reserve a few minutes at the end of the session
to discuss your child’s progress with you and answer any questions you might have.

Do you accept insurance?

Yes! Please contact the office with your insurance information to find out if we are in network with
insurance. There is a form on our website you can download with questions to ask your insurance
provider about their coverage of therapy benefits.

What if I don’t have insurance?

If you don’t have insurance you can pay out of pocket for therapy services. Please contact the office to
get more information on pricing of therapy services if you are paying out of pocket.

How do we pay?

If you are paying out of pocket or have a co-pay or deductible, you can pay with cash, check or by
credit/debit card. To pay by card we use IvyPay (link), a secure payment system where you can pay on
your phone.

Is there a waiting list?

At this time, we do not have a waiting list and have appointments available for both OT and ST services.

Can I observe or watch a video of my child’s sessions?

Parents may be in the therapy area with their child during the initial evaluation, the first therapy session, and when requested by the therapist. If you would like to observe a therapy session occasionally this can be arranged with your therapist. If the child receiving therapy is under age 3, one parent may accompany the child during therapy sessions but must respect other clients by remaining quiet and in the seats provided. If you would like to watch a video of your child during their sessions, this can be set up for you by making a request with your child’s therapist.

Will my child see the same therapist each week?

Yes, for consistency and rapport building, your child will see the same therapist each week for their
